Welcome to Falling Fruit Ireland 2024!

Falling Fruit Ireland is a project to harvest the seasonal glut of local fruit (apples, pears, plums, nuts, etc.). We collect throughout the Dublin area and around the country and give it to charities that cater for those in need. Each year hundreds of fruit trees go unpicked. ‘Falling Fruit’ organises a team of volunteers who pick the fruit and distribute it to local charities or other good causes.

Join us and take part in Food Waste Prevention, Urban Harvesting, Food Donations to Charities and creating a more caring world!

Since 2015, Falling Fruit Ireland has been working on innovative, practical and sustainable solutions to bridge the gap between excess seasonal produce and those who need it most. Falling Fruit Ireland continues to expand their operations, discovering innovative ways to reduce food waste, and expand availability of fresh produce to all.

For over 7 years, Falling Fruit has been working closely with some of irelands most valuable charities. Both on a locale and national level, organizations benefit from the work that FFI volunteers contribute, to provide access to fresh seasonal produce to those who need it including CRNO, FoodCloud, We Share and More.
