For several years we have partnered with a charity in Bunclody, Co. Wexford.
We now need volunteers to set up a Wexford Falling Fruit Group to help source, pick and deliver gleaned apples to local charities.

Good News!
Arising out of Wednesday’s post, we are delighted to announce that we have a new Falling Fruit charity partner in Waterford!
To kickstart this collaboration, we need your help with two things:
Start a Local Group: We are looking for volunteers to set up a Falling Fruit Ireland group in Waterford. We will provide the equipment and the knowledge.
Donate Apples: If you have apple trees in the county with surplus fruit, please consider donating them to us so they don’t go to waste.
Let’s make the most of the Waterford harvest this year!

We are planning ahead for the autumn harvest and need your help!
Every year our wonderful volunteers save thousands of kilos of surplus apples across Ireland.
We love getting fresh fruit out to local groups, but the sheer volume of apples means we need help to turn them into preserves, juices or processed fruit products, throughout the autumn for food charities.
We need community groups, social enterprises, or volunteer networks who can accept large quantities of apples and process them into shelf-stable goods to directly support local food charities.
What we are looking for:
Certified Kitchens: To meet health and safety standards, access to a registered/certified kitchen is highly preferable.
Processing Power: Teams or groups with the equipment and volunteers to wash, peel, and cook in bulk.
Charity Connections: Groups already linked with food banks or ready to distribute the final products.
